Worm Tea

Posted by Jake

Worm tea…yup…you read that right.  This is one VERY good way to fertilize your plants, add microbial activity to the soil, and protect the leaves of your plants by adding a BIO-FILM layer, which repels pests.

It’s a simple process…just need to get some worms and start a worm bin.  Or..just use worm castings from the store.  If you have a compost pile outside, there’s probably some great castings in there!

Lot’s of places to purchase worms locally and online…just make sure they’re RED WIGGLER.  They’re the composting powerhouses!!  Great for the garden too!

If you do order online..share the excitement of getting worms in the mail with your kids…my 3 year old niece still talks about the day the worms came in the mail… and loves to check on their status when she visits!!

SO FUN!

  • I can imagine! Thank you, I love my life! :)
  • ...it was a little odd...to open the mailbox, pull out a little box and see 1500 little guys writhing about....

...I'm glad you're doing.. what you're doing.. TOO! LOVIN IT!
  • Man... I'm glad someone gets excited about these kinds of tasks.. You're a warrior! Worms in the mail is a rather odd thing.
