Hah… EXACTLY like that I had homemade Saguaro cactus fruit ice cream this summer and I must say it may have been the most amazing thing I've ever had.

Cool..very cool! It must be like seeing Sasquatch in the wild…I dream of the day! Saguaro fruit…my goodness..I really need to make a journey back south to those mana filled lands!

Yes, I've seen some! There's not a huge amount in Patagonia because of the elevation, but there are some indeed! And oh my gosh, the saguaro cactus fruit… Thanks, yes, it's been an awesome week!!

Courtney..just curious if you've ever seen any gojis…in your desert hikes down there….? Ever since moving from AZ, I've been eager to get back…near the Saguaros…to seek out the GOJI!! Hope all is gorgeous in Patagonia this week..!

…I think I know who wanted those chickens…I'll give you a call. Lemme know if you have space for a goji! If not, we could try one at your dad's farm. I think they'd do really well cruising up the side of the plateau. Just run a little drip feeder up to them.

Hi Ben! Thanks for those Aloes..they're hanging out in the dome now..running with the pack! The gojis could totally handle Cedar…they're very adaptogenic….people are growing them in almost all climate zones…as far north as Canada…and as far south as AZ and HAWAII….and of course Northern China and Tibet. I was surprised to find out that these little guys grow all around our southwest desert…near saguaros!! Yah..it's totally legal..to have a chicken in Utah..just depends on which residential neighborhood. Mine has HOA laws, and CC&R Restrictions on top of local law. Which can call local law in to enforce their restrictions. Bummer, but only if people complain…I may still go for it…if the neighbors complain…off with the chickens head…just kiddning…I'd have to trade it away or something. It's funny, cause the neighborhood, right to the South, has no restrictions…county or community….maybe just time for me to move…haha! For now…I'm trading greens for my chicken poop..and eggs! Hope to see you both..next time you're around…..bring a basket! Hey..I know you like cranberries..think I may grow those next…..yah!

that is REALLY cool. I wonder if those would do well up here in Cedar, or if it nedds somewhere more warm. So Jake, I think it was you who said you wanted a chicken or something. Well one of Heather's friends has a couple here, and said that it IS legal in utah to have chickens in residential areas. I'm sure you have done more research than me though. Just thought I'd let ya know. Hope you make those Aloe plants happy.

hey Sam…haha..that is funny!! For some reason, I remember zooming in on the bing map you posted, and my mind placed it this morning, in the Potomic Bay Area..wrong bay all together! LOL Still my gardening brutha… either way! Nice job on the upgrade to the bigger light, I'm noticing the same thing with my grow light area, much lost on the outer edges. You're going to have mean microgreens year round with that. LOVING your posts!!
