Pine Pollen + Holy Basil = Food Forest JOY!

I filmed this video a few weeks ago when the pine pollen was falling in the food forest.  Powerful stuff!  I love it!!  I love holy basil even more…it’s my favorite plant to graze on.  Come check out the garden and I’ll show you my method for planting holy basil..and some other ideas for growing healthy plants.

    Hey Jake cool video I gotta say my favorite part is seeing Jane running around. To think about how far that dog has come from scared starving throw away to a friendly healthy dog its crazy how far she has come. But also I was just wondering what is it that you use the pine pollen for? I am just watching this video at work (dont tell my boss) so the sound isnt really loud. But just wondering what you use it for?

    I just bought my first bag of Azomite and am excited to use it. Do you ever top dress with it?

    I sure do!!! I top dress with it, put it in all my planting holes….and use it in my liquid feeds. Spread it EVERYWHRE!! You can’t really over apply it.

    Hey Jake I live in southern utah too! I just found this site because I’ve been searching for some near by spring water to collect. So glad that I found someone else with the same ideas! Anyways, just to make this comment relate to the post lol, I’ll just say that pollen I think is something that if we were to live healthfully in a forest garden, then we would be ingesting pollen all the time!  I think it suppose to be a part of our diet.

    Nice to meet you…Southern Utah ROCKS!!!  Thanks for the kind comment.  Yah, I hear ya…just being in the forest gardens…brings life…we breathe it.  Surrounded by falling pine pollen, soil bacteria and the SUN!!  This = pure JOY!!!  Cheers to the mighty pine pollen/ pollens of all types and living in our food forests.  Hope you found some good springs around here…there are SO MANY…sacred land indeed!!  It’s like hunting for gold!!!  Cheers to the hunt!

    oh wow, I didn’t know you replied back until now (3 months later lol). Do you go to world peace gardens or vegetarian society or natural grocers? I’d like to meet you! Maybe you can show my husband and I where one of those springs are?
