SPRING WATER

Posted by Jake

This is a video of me gathering our weekly supply of spring water.

For about 8 months, we’ve been harvesting spring water from a canyon close to our home.  We heard about spring water from David Wolfe, while reading the “Sunfood Diet” and while watching David explain the power of spring water on YouTube.  We were further intrigued by the YouTube videos of Daniel Vitalis….all of Daniel’s and David’s videos are worth checking out!

The following video is Daniel Vitalis testing his spring water with a TDS/PH meter….it’s a great explanation and very much worth watching!

In the video above, David Wolfe explains why he drinks spring water.  He gives great insights into the power of spring water…!

After reading, “Living Energies” theories of Viktor Schauberger by Callum Coats, we were further excited by the seemingly forgotten power of natural springs at the source!

We were a little apprehensive at first, about getting water from nature without filtration.  We’ve been brought up in a time where pollution is a fact, and it’s effects are known, especially in water sources.  But, after reading this book and watching Daniel and David explain their experience with spring water….we gave it a shot and found a spring.  We’re glad we did, on our first taste, we KNEW it was good for us!

The body just knows!

If this sounds interesting, check into this topic further in “Living Energies”, from my own reading, it seems that some springs are like sap in trees….in that,  just like water goes up a tree, spiraling up until it reaches the top of the tree…some springs (mountain springs) do the same thing.   Water is pulled up through the ground, continuing up through the rocks in the mountain over a very long time…sometimes thousands of years….and then finally seeps out….in it’s most beautiful form!

We started searching out springs by talking with locals about where they might be.  Nobody really knew of any, but finally we found some people that knew of some different springs.  We tried a few different sources and the current one we’re using is awesome!!!  It’s fun to find new springs!   Each one seems to offer a specific mineral content, good medicine from the Earth!   We usually take our digital P.H./T.D.S. and TEMP meter and check the water before we gather it.  Just to give us a relative idea of the water quality and to monitor fluctuations in the above readings.

We’ve met many different people while gathering our water.  From old hippies, to local farmers, to travelers from far away…who have used this water for a long time.  They all echo the same words, “this is the best water around!”  The truest test comes when you taste it for yourself and intuit for yourself the purity of the water!  It’s a whole different feeling….to drink this kind of water….it’s alive!  All of us here at the house actually crave it!

The best thing….is going to harvest the water!  Not only is it great being in the outdoors getting a little wet while getting your weekly water supply, but it’s somehow archaically cool to harvest your own water.  It’s summons up all sorts of ancient connections and harmonious feelings with nature.

Beautiful place to gather water!

We just harvested water from here on Saturday (03/07/10), and it is amazing. We use it as the base to all of our green smoothies, as well as our exclusive source for drinking water. It's almost sweet, and you can kind of feel it just slide down your throat. I love it.

Nothing like sweet water..that slides down your throat…cheers to that…lifting my cold glass now…ahhh JOY!! Glad you made your way to the sacred waters brutha. Sacred "Place" period…! I almost feel like leaving an offering of tobacco or something…when I enter that space. Looking for a few new sources this week and next….would be fun to find a bunch of sources with different offerings from the earth…onward to the search! For now..just grateful to have such beautiful water nearby…
