“Mycelium Running” – Paul Stamets

In the video above…Mycologist…Paul Stamets…explains the many benefits of mushrooms.
While growing up…the only awareness I had of mushrooms was that they came on pizza…   but it appears there’s much more to them than that!!
 
For the last year….we’ve been experimenting with the “noble mushrooms“..also known as the “polypore mushrooms”..or tree mushrooms…because they’re usually found growing in forests… on dying or fallen trees…or old logs and stumps.
 
From amazing nutritional benefits….to growing food…..to restoring forests to the natural state…to environmental clean up…they have many gifts to offer us!! 
 
We love them so much that we consume them almost daily…with amazing results!!

 

We’re currently learning to identify and seek out these special medicines in the wild….a long with herbs and natural springs!  We think we may have found some Chaga and Coriolus on the mountain near our home last week, while hunting for new springs…more on that in future posts….!
