Ali is one of my heroes!!!  She’s been growing her own food for quite a few decades now…and she’s doing it all organically….and beyond!!  No chemicals…..!!!!

Here’s some…of what Ali is growing on a tiny 1/4 acre:  48 fruit trees, 3 of them are nuts. Aside from the fruit trees, there are: 17 grape vines, a boysenberry patch, raspberry patch and triple crown
blackberry patch, ohhh…and 5 Strawberry patches all different varieties.
There’s also a large asparagus patch and a currant patch…and so many veggies you can’t count..! SOOOO INSPIRING!!!!  She also keeps bees…so they can tend to the flowers.

The coolest part in my opinion??  She’s sharing HOW…to do this for ourselves!!  Ali offers FREE CLASSES!!  Check out her website for more info.  My gardening hat is off….in deep gratitude for all she shares!  Thank you Ali!!!!

SO, my questions are, WHY is this message not spreading like WILDFIRE???  Why are people like Michael Reynolds not being awarded the NOBEL PRIZE??

I think about staying warm and living well, especially when it starts getting close to freezing around here…so many people, including myself, would find themselves hungry, freezing and worried, if the power went out, mid winter…SO WHY WORRY??  Why not do it now, because it’s the right choice, on so many other levels than just surviving.  My opinion is these houses are MUCH nicer and kind to the body, than the boxes most of us find ourselves living in currently.

I’m done asking…..WHY….I’m getting started…… TODAY!!!!!  My dream is to build an Earthship, near a spring and grow food for all who are hungry…..WE CAN DO THIS!!  WE CAN DO IT NOW!!

I love this message and this technology….my prayer is that it does spread….and FAST!!  If you haven’t seen the Garbage Warrior yet…watch it ASAP!!!  So much info being given to us by this man’s work.

Hope everyone is having fun in their gardens this summer..!

One of my biggest inspirations…Anthony Anderson…is creating three…young food forests.  One… in Arizona…. and another project in Minnesota.  Both food forests are coming a long nicely.  If you tune into Anthony’s website and videos…you’ll learn more than you could in a few years at most brick and mortar.. places of learning.  There’s more informational content on that website..and in his videos than most libraries.

I absolutely love the guy..and am so grateful for everything he shares!!

You… just might find yourself creating your own food forest…from the stuff you learn….that’s what happened to me!!!

His third project…is here in Hurricane, Utah.  His ideas and contributions are all over the garden here.  We’re working closely on methods…sharing seeds…supplies and creating/being an awareness of sustainable living.  Thanks for all the support brother…we wouldn’t be doing this without you!!!

Here’s a few video updates from the backyard..FOOD FOREST.

Much has changed.. even in the last two weeks…since these were filmed.  The BIG..project this week..is building new supports for hardy kiwis…which will be vining up the east and west sides of the house….providing food…and hopefully shading the house a bit…helping with the A.C. bill, this summer!!!

Maybe we won’t even need the A.C…if we can get the house covered in VINES!!!!

Ok…so had to throw this video in here…because these RED WIGGLERS and their other worm buddies, bacteria, and micro-organisms….are the TRUE KEEPERS…of this garden!!  BIG PROPS..to them..and my gratitude!!!

“TEND TO YOUR MICRO-HERDS”….this is a wonderful saying…I picked up while reading “Gaia’s Garden.”   An extremely insightful chapter titled: CHAPTER 4 – BRINGING THE SOIL TO LIFE!

Makes sense to me..and feels right!!
